Neal’s Yard Rose Moisturiser

I've been using Neal's Yard Remedies Rehydrating Rose Daily Moisture for a week now after receiving it in this month's GlossyBox and approached the idea of being able to use a beautifully scented moisturiser on my sensitive skin with more than a hint of scepticism.

Over the years I have enthusiastically bought many a moisturiser that promised gentle care of my tender skin only to find that my skin had in fact, zero tolerance for them. Within a couple of days my skin would be angry and quite sore- it was my skin's equivalent of holding its breath until it got its own way. Rose Daily Moisture has anti-inflammatory properties and is suitable for sensitive skin. Apparently.

Neal's Yard Remedies has a wonderful reputation, produces quality, natural products and holds a belief that they don't use anything that could harm us, the consumer  or indeed the planet we all live on. As you would expect from such a company, they don't test their products on animals. I recently read an informative guest post on one of my regular visits to the beauty shortlist written by Caroline Cain who is a nutritionist, reflexologist and fertility expert.  She wrote a thought provoking article about how our bodies absord 80% of any harmful ingredients that may be lingering in our beauty products...straight into our cells. Neal's Yard, who list on their website all of the ingredients they use in their products, suddenly become even more appealing.

Rehydrating Rose Daily Moisture is beautifully fragranced with delicate rose (hundred petalled), is light, glides onto the skin beautifully and is rapidly absorbed. My skin felt soft, refreshed and yet, (and here's the important thing), soothed. After cleansing, my face can sometimes feel like it needs some TLC. The moisturiser feels light on your skin and is the perfect base for your make-up. My skin, after using this moisturiser for a week, feels healthy and nourished. I feel like I'm looking after my skin properly. One look through the ingredients bolsters your confidence in this product and I can honestly say that I'm thrilled with it. My only regret is that I didn't discover it years ago. You can buy it direct from their website or from Lovelula.com, one of my favourite beauty sites.

While you're on the Neal's Yard Remedies website, take time to sign their petition to ban deadly neonic' pesticides and help save our bees. I wrote about this here - we can all do our bit!
